Budget-Friendly New Year’s Eve Mantel and Table Decor
When it comes to New Year’s Eve decor, you don’t have to spend a fortune to make your space sparkle. This year, I decided to decorate at the very last minute… and it totally paid off. Since Christmas had just ended, all the holiday decor was 70% off, and a lot of it worked perfectly for a New Year’s celebration. I scored tons of silver accents, disco balls, and twinkling lights without breaking the bank.

Mantel: Silver, Stars, and Sparkle
For the mantel, I started with a thick silver garland that instantly added a festive touch. I repurposed the gold and silver star garland from my son’s first birthday party (pro tip: keep your old party decor. You never know when it’ll come in handy). To finish it off, I added ball-shaped fairy lights that were the perfect length for draping across the mantel. The glow made the whole living room feel magical. Again, I got most things on sale in stores, but I will link similar items I was able to find from Amazon.
Table Centerpiece: Disco Ball Glam
For the dining table, I went with a beaded table runner I already owned. On top, I scattered a mix of small and medium disco ball ornaments I had picked up during the Christmas clearance sale. They caught the light beautifully and made the table look like a mini dance floor—without any extra effort.
Why I Love This Look
What I love most about this setup is how versatile and affordable it is. By shopping post-Christmas sales and reusing party decorations, I created a Pinterest-worthy New Year’s Eve look on a budget. Plus, it’s easy to pack away and reuse for birthdays, anniversaries, or any party where you want a little sparkle.
These were the only two spots I decorated (our mantel and the dining table) but it had a big impact. You don’t have to go overboard to make your home feel themed and special. A few intentional touches in high-traffic areas, or focal points in your home, can make the whole evening feel festive.
